I was enjoying that job. Meals on Wheels delivery. But, now I can play in the garage until about 10:00am or so every day. Might just get to do some painting now too!

Gonna try to get the upper intake back on the car tomorrow am.

Yes indeed still tugging along.

I worked on the crossover exhaust pipe, and their heat shields today.

Added new gaskets for the EGR pipe for the upper intake. Little things done, start to add up.

Located my battery cables and have them ready to go. Battery all charged up and ready to go again. I am gonna add the cables and the battery to check starter engaugement tomorrow.

I wil add tomorrows progress, and maybe an undated photo of the 3.4 on the 88 cradle later tomorrow.

I am gonna have to remove all of the alternator brackets and remove all of the engine mount bolts. Then I can raise the engine upwards. I cant get in there to add the top two motor mount nuts with the 3.4 oil pan. Must be deeper there. Oh well. I didn't have anything else to do tomorrow morning. After I get these two niuts on , I will be able to install the muffler and tail pipes back onto the engine.

The Old Fiero two step. One step forward, then two backwards.

Took the bolts out of the engine mount out , and raised the engine up. Put the nuts on the motor mount studs. Remounted the engine mount onto the engine. Put the nuts on the rear exhaust manifold heat shield. Installed and tightened the alternator belt. Picked up the shop a bit.

I met UND SOUIX in Conroe,Texas yesterday at 4:00pm and got the 120 MPH speedo he had for me. I am gonna remove it from the dark gray speedo surround . It is much cooler in the house, so in to get back to work. He has a fine red GT. Clean as a whistle.

As it sits this morning.

I had a 50-50 chance and muffed it !!!!!!! Time to take it all apart once more I guess. I should have known as the muffler was pointing the right way.

Used a Scotch Brite pad to scuff the dash and the speedo housing. Cleaned all parts with Alcohol. Assembled my new Harbor Freight Air Filter and oiler and regulator. I am gonna shoot the dash parts at 7:00am when it will be as cool as it will get here tomorrow. It was 106* here this afternoon. At 8:30pm it is still 97*

I used lacquer thinner to remove all of the paint on the dash from The Fiero Stores SW spray cans. The color was spot on, but it is just to hot for doing this in Texas right now. I took the dash with me to the PPG paint store. They all said the same thing. Tooooooooooo hot for spray can.

Ready to shoot:
