Not much work on the dash itself but still some progress...!
Finally I got a response and a quote from a seller of these gauges:

I hope I can order a set within a few days!
Trying to line up the parts and ideas for the ventpods mockup....

I am still looking for 2 audi TT vents...hard to find, even around here...
Now I've also been looking quite a long time for a nice "recovering" of the reused stock main dash. A molded shiny CF cover would be cool but any shiny dash would reflect too much in the windshield. So I went looking for some other materials and finally got this from a local car upholstery shop today:

I got enough of the black vinyl stuff to play with I wasnt too sure when I got it but it looks like it will match well with the other materials in the end...

The teardrop aluminium sheet is planned to be used at both lower sides of the midconsole tunnel...

Anyway, My interior will be finished faster than my exterior, and my exterior will be finished faster than your exterior...
