I was able to pick up my shock mount bracket with the new stud welded in. I need to remove some of the 88 style front engine mount metal before I can install this on the engine. My new Fiero Store oil filler cap arrived today. I put it on already. I also used the tap to chase the threads for the thermostat housing. All speed ahead now.

Small work slow down here, Our water heater died an untimely death. $275.00. Oh well., such is life.

Did you get your exhaust logs ported and welded? you should do that before you mount them up. that 3.4 will REALLY appreciate the extra breathing room.

also don't do bolts on the exhaust manifolds. use studs, they wont fail later. also the front heat shield on the 2.8 you can do without as all it does is create leaks because it's mounted between the head and the exhaust log. or redesign it to mount differently. These will give you better reliability and significantly reduce the chances of exhaust gasket leaks.

Havent ported the exhaust manifolds yet, but plan to. I do have the exhaust stud kit here on hand now

I was able to get a lot of little things done this morning. AC mount brackets were put back on the engine. Front engine mount bracket was modified to accept the lower AC bracket. Rear Coil mount was added. Middle intake mounted and torqued to specs .Cross over pipe was put in place. I am gonna remove it tomorrow and clean it up , and add some gloss black paint. I have the wrong Alternator. Will not line up with the mount bracket.
Installed the throttle cable into the body. So much fun to be had doing this! NOT

Spent the afternoon at O'REilly's Parts house using their AC compressor hub remover . It was $130.00 to take it home, or just use it there inside in an air conditioned room for free. Hard decision to make. I used the tool to remove the pulley system from my 4.9 Cadillac HR6. Serpentine drive. I removed my V Belt pulley system from my locked up 87 GT 2.8 compressor.

The Cadillac HR6 and the Fiero ones have different rear ends. I can not use the rear bracket at the back of the compresssor. I haven't decided if I want to use it this way or not. $180.00 is a nice pile of bread.

This morning I discovered that the throttle cable had come out of the peddle arm while I was putting it back on the firewall. I had to try to reach in there and find the loose end. I finally gave up and used a piece of coat hanger to pull a string through, then tied the string to the forward end of the cable. After a few hideous minuets I was able to get it all back together correctly.

Installed my injectors in the fuel rail:

I had removed the dash to assist me in the throttle cable install, but it was not any help at all. I was gonna remove it for Beechwood recolor anyway.

I did the exact opposite you did, I had to remove the V6 throttle cable to install the Duke throttle cable for the 4.9. I had my friend do it in exchange for parts.

I gotta admit those injectors look NICE! Shiny!
