What wheels do you have on your car (Page 1/1)

Hey everyone.
Just getting the itch for some new wheels. Wondering what trends are going on and if any new wheel styles seem popular. And what sizes of tires used.
I know this quest has been challenged before a while back. But looking for fresh ideas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years

I originally had the (Stock) 14 x 7 wheels with 215/60-14s....after 5-6 years, I bought some inexpensive 15 x 7 wheels and went to 215 & 225/60s.....Then, in 2008, when I renovated my 1985 SE V-6 Fiero, I did some research and also fully "Swam the river" on the idea of "Unsprung Lightness"...Found some 16 x 7 VOXX Monza wheels that only weigh 13.5 lbs each, and also went back to General tires....Their G-Max all-season tires rate very highly in comparison tests, and are approx' 2-4 lbs lighter than competing brands.

This took 3 lbs off each rear wheel/tire, and 6 lbs off each front (Dropped from 215 to 205 on the front)...the difference was amazing- the car went from driving like a truck to driving like a modern car!

Wheel size; 16 x 7 38 mm offset (Note; These beautiful Voxx Monzas are no longer made- But other companies make the same size and lightness)

Tires; 205/55-16 front, 225/55-16 rear (Note; Common tires sizes used on several popular cars back in the 90s, so lots of options- and little chance of them stopping production)

(Additional note; comparing my 205/225 sizes tires to the C8 Vette- difference in weight 2600 lb Fiero vs 3600 lb Vette- means they equate to 285 front and 310 rear)

What year is your Fiero? 88s are a minor pain-in-the-azz to find suitable front wheels for, due to the wider front track. (All of mine are 88s.)

My newest wheels are XXR 530s. Came from eBay.
17x8.25, 35mm rear. 235/45-17
17x7, 35mm front. 215/45-17

My oldest wheels are CSA Mullins Gladiators from Australia (long story, and not by design.) Essentially a knockoff of Mille Miglia Evos.
17x8, 35mm rear. 235/45-17
17x7, 48mm front. 215/45-17
Sport Edition used to make a similar style, but I suspect that anything similar is long out of production.

My coupe has Borbet Type FS. Also pretty much long out of production.
17x8, 35mm rear. 235/45-17
17x7, 38mm front. 215/45-17
