I contacted the original owner and he said that it was a dealer option that he had put on it when he bought it new. That said, dealers like to offer options that customize cars sometimes... for which Pontiac (or the manufacturer) has absolutely nothing to do with. My 87 Fiero SE has some pin striping that was put on by the dealer (supposedly), and when I bought my Solstice, I got two dealer options that didn't show up in any factory catalogs. Can you show me a picture of what it looks like? I assume when you say "bird," you're talking about the Fiero's Pegasus (a horse with wings)? Or is it actually a bird or something? I don't think I'd personally want it on the back window, but I definitely think it's cool on the driver's and passenger side windows. It's not a factory option that I'm aware of... never seen anything like it in the option codes. If it was a factory option, it would have an RPO code assigned to it (on the sticker on the front left wheel well). But that doesn't mean it isn't cool... but definitely a dealer option. Printed it from my fiero manual on a large sheet of tape like material and used a drum al. The EX got that car.
