Got cruise working in a Fiero for the first time ever and when I must the wipers cruise stays on, but as soon as I switch to intermittent then the cruise turns off. Is that normal or am I needing a new cruise control stalk? Is the stalk different from the switch? Yep. Kinda-sorta. The stalk moves the switch for the turn signal. There are PBs and slide switches in the stalk and those could be bad. You out try to spray electrical contact cleaner and cycle the switches before changing the stalk. It may just be dirty contacts.
