See title. I am working on a digital cruise install and need an ignition 12v source. Thanks!

Another ignition 12V+ source in the engine bay is the Fuel Pump Relay

Thank you. I was looking at one digital cruise install guide and realized it was specific to 86-87 fastbacks and now I'm going in a different direction but this will still be helpful, I just need to follow a different guide.

Are you sure that's "ignition" and not "battery"? The fuel pump fuse is connected straight to battery. (Not arguing. Serious question.)

The fuel pump relay has 12v BAT on the orange/black wire and the green/white wire sees 12V IGN from the ECU.
***I would NOT use the ECU 12V signal to power the digital cruise.***
***The easiest and best protected 12V IGN source is the DARK BLUE wire going to the NSS (auto trans) or the BACKUP LIGHT SWITCH (manual trans).***

Some good info here but I believe the 12V connection will depend on how much amperage you wish to draw. For high demand items like an MSD ignition box I just set up a terminal junction box off the positive battery lead and use an inline fuse. To do this the battery terminal was changed to one that allowed attaching feed wires. . The terminal box is mounted on the rear firewall. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. I'll use the switch off the trans since it's right there, thank you.

As Joe mentioned, the reverse light power feed is a good choice as it is rarely in use, and would not be needed when the cruise would be drawing power.
