Getrag: Length of Gear Selector Shaft: Fiero vs FWD (Page 1/1)
reinhart JUN 08, 05:25 PM
Would someone tell me the distance the gear selector shaft sticks out of the case on a Fiero Getrag vs a FWD Getrag? (measuring the distance from the outer edge of the case to the end of the shaft).

I searched the archives and surprisingly couldn't find this info.

Check Rodney Dickman's web site. He used to sell conversion kits. He had pages of info and instructions posted.
I don't remember seeing that info, exactly. But if it's anywhere, it'll likely be there.

Yea I checked everything Rodney has. Nothing about the lengths.

Should be easy to get the Fiero Getrag number for sure. Just need an owner to measure.

in the relaxed position (neutral) from the case to the top of the nut is just about 2.5 inches tops out at about 2.75 but the spare 2nd fiero is a little taller at 2.95 but it has 3x the mileage and didn't shift properly
