Can someone help me find where these parts go? (Page 1/1)

A few months ago I took out my rear subframe/drivetrain for a transmission rebuild and some engine work. I've now got everything back together and am about to put it all back in the car but can't for the life of me figure out where these parts go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the top one is from somewhere around the intake plenum.

Car is an 88, motor is a stock 2.8, transmission is a Getrag 282

Thanks

Top one if I'm not mistaken is for the front spark plug wires, it is attracted to the lower (in picture) bolt for the throttle cable bracket, the little square part at the other end is down in that area you have your wires running, and one of the plastic clips goes on it.

I think that squiggly thing was only on manual transmission V6 Fieros.

I'll take a picture of my V6 on a stand and post it in a couple of minutes. It was from an 87-GT V6 that I picked up at Radar's house. It has both of those. Give me 5 minutes...

Ok, here's a picture (I'll explain below):

Ok, so the squiggly bracket... you can see that in the foreground and how it attaches. I assume this exists to prevent the shift cables from laying across the exhaust manifold / Y-pipe. My 87 Fiero SE/V6 Automatic (which I've converted to a 5-Speed), never had this bracket on it. But the engine I just took a picture of, came from an 87 GT 5-Speed.

Next, the picture isn't great, but you can make out the other bracket just a little further back between the two spark plug wires. This mounts to a stud on top of the cyl head (just above the exhaust port) and is supposed to hold a 2-pronged spark plug wire clip, to hold it away from the exhaust manifold.

BOTH of these things are installed on the front firewall (under the rear window) side of the engine in the engine compartment.

Thank you both very much. I appreciate the help.
