I am working on my first fiero, ( 88 GT , 2.8L )

While i was being careless i broke one of the eletrical switches on the back of the AC compressor. ( not the small one, the big one ) also what is the term for it?

In that case, i am wondering if there are any replacment for it?

Or do i have to ge a new AC compressor.

P.S I am new to working on cars in genaral too.

Dude, it happens... if you knew all the things I've broken on cars over the years, you'd probably violently attack me.

I cut the roof off an old Cadillac that had a powered moonroof which was apparently one of only 200 ever made from the factory, in two-tone... I had no idea, I was just having fun...

... I was like 22 years old there, haha.

Anyway, are you saying you broke the plug off the back of the A/C compressor, or off the wiring harness? I just want to make sure I understand. It's easy to find new wiring harness ends. Rock Auto is the best place for this stuff... I'd say the hardest part is finding it on the site (even though it's quite well laid out). But if the mushroom connector is broken off the back of the sensor in the A/C compressor... you'll need to replace that.

Take a picture if you can... most people end up having to buy the newer sensors since they don't make the old ones anymore... but there are still a few OEM ones out there if you search real hard.

Sorry, I was in school.
The mushroom connector is broken off the back of the sensor in the A/C compressor.

so is there a ccertian part for the 88 GT AC Compresser?

Also, the connector on the wiring harness for the 88GT AC, where would you find that?

Because right now that mushroom connector looks like it only has one prong verse the two prong connectors on the wiring harness in the fiero store and Rock auto.
