Duke rebuilding (Page 1/2)

So I'm rebuilding an 88 Duke and I can't find where the oil pump mounts. Also did some of the 88 Dukes not have an oil drain plug?

some pictures might help. they all had drain plugs but i believe they are the filter cover piece itself on the 88s
as for the pump? no idea without a picture of what your looking at

I just tore an 88 Duke apart and that wasn't in there.

that balance shaft assembly has the oil pump and is SUPPOSED to be there. i litterally called and asked the entire jet city fiero club to make sure that 88 used that part. (edit wrong about 87. got dates wrong because of the year crossover)
if you still dont believe me heres a thread about this.

also like maybe show a picture of the bottom of the engine where your trying to mount the pump to.

Yeah, I concur with CarterCarbs here... that device / component has the balance shafts and the oil pump built in as one unit. The 88 Duke is a pretty cool motor with the enhancements they made... but that oil pump you're showing (the Melling), I'm almost positive that's for 84-86 (87?) Iron Dukes. It's identical to the one my daughter installed in her Iron Duke. I don't think you'll be able to use that one.
