I got a bucket of parts for a 1988 V6 a while ago. I’ve always noticed these little gear looking things, and I’m in a spot now where I need to know what they are. I assumed it was a timing component but I’m not sure.

Judging by the wear on the teeth, it looks like someone never changed their blinker fluid.
