88 Decklid Different than Pre-88 Decklid? (Page 1/1)

I think I remember reading that the 88 rear Decklids were different in that they had the RF shield for the radio integrated inside the decklid rather than the pre-88s which had a metal RF shield visibly attached to the inside. I can't find any threads in the archives that discuss this Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Correct
Pre-88 Decklids have a tin / metal sheet attached to the decklid at the narrowest part.
88's don't and will be a hole where the shield wire screw directly to the composite material.
