Anyone know a good exhaust setup to make the L4 sound slightly more aggressive? ------------------ Joshua Seeger

any pypes muffler. very loud when it gets enough exhaust pressure but also expensive. if you are actually running an ls4 use 2 and run a semi custom exhaust by running one in the factory spot and one by the factory downpipe....if theres even enough room

I'm not running an LS4 yet. Hence why I'm asking about the L4 Duke.

i would have considered it an i4 not an L4 yeah glasspacks or a louder muffler would help. our solution was a custom ditch find straight pipe (i guess it fell off another fiero?) we did end up using the stock muffler later. but yeah look for a pypes muffler and use that and itll be loud and might need a glasspack inplace of the stock cat to help sound (this we did on both i4 and v6 and it helps alot)

It is likely that a Subaru-style unequal-length header may yield a Subaru-style sound...

From 2013... my '84 with swapped in factory GT dual exhaust, including aftermarket cat. I used two el cheapo eBay cameras, with one mounted by the rear license plate to better record the exhaust sound.

A duke sounds somewhat better with the dual outlets... but yeah, it still sounds like a duke. [This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 02-26-2025).]
