Hey all. I am doing a manual transmissions conversion on my 88 2.5 auto. I'm wondering if anyone knows of the best way to make/get the hydraulic line for the clutch. ------------------ Joshua Seeger

Contact Inline Tube or The Fiero Store.
The 88 line is year specific.

I ordered a stock replacement line for my '88 GT from Inline Tube. What a nightmare!!! They clearly do not know the correct dimentions of the Fiero or, my year / model. Connections at both Master and Slave tubes were way off!!! I went back and forth with them where they re-made the line connection at the master but the slave area connection would not work. They literally told me there was nothing more they could do. I counted it as a loss and ordered the '88 5 speed getrag kit from the Fiero Store. Their supplier is Classic Tube. Everything was great except the line connection at the Master. Again, the tubing was not replicated correctly and now from a different company. I contacted Classic Tube directly and sent the factory section from the Master cylinder to the flex line to replicate. They did a great job and there was no charge. Only shipping for the original part I sent to them to replicate. I don't know why this is an issue but I worked my way through it. Not sure what exactly your application is but I found Classic Tube much better to work with than Inline Tube. [This message has been edited by FormulaGT (edited 02-25-2025).]

Sorry to hear that. We've used Inline Tube in the shop for several applications and have had minimal problems. They are about two hours from us and we have driven over to their facility to pick things up the next day.
Funny story - at one time TFS didn't sell the 88 specific clutch line, they insisted that the pre-88 line would fit. (It doesn't, not even close)
We did the same thing you did, sent the front part of the line to them, they sent it to their supplier (Inline Tube at the time) and had the correct line made.
We always use the S/S lines on all of our personal and customer projects - it's almost impossible to modify and work hardens very quickly, so it's got to be correct right out of the box.
When they make the lines, it's not a manual process, I can see how a mistake in setup could cause problems with the final product.
Also, installation technique plays a big part in fitment. We hook up the front and then the rear, and then get all of the brackets in between. It's a lot easier that way.
Glad you got it sorted out!
