Hi all.
Can we run Campagnolo wheels on our Fieros? Found a set reasonably priced.
I have a replica. Seller put on tacky ugly 18" wheels. It DID come with some very nice looking CSA 'Globe' wheels from Australia 15" wheels. They look the part - like perfect "20 foot wheels" I'd say. Seller mumbled something about the car running 'horribly' on them, they shook or bounced and he couldn't find tires for them... Anyway, he made a horrible mess of it all. The 18" wheels have tires completely different from Fiero OEM, different for anything that the Pontiac Mera ever ran. Not even close.
The 14" wheels are the same - a hot mess. Two different sizes on the wheels - neither of which are anywhere near the Fiero OEM, or Mera or even the 18" !! They are much lower to the ground overall - which actually makes the car look kick ass.
Anyway, trying to sort this all out. I know the 18" wheels are running spacers on them (according to seller) and the other 15" wheels don't require spacers.
I want to get proper wheels sorted out. Was wondering if I could bolt up these Ferrari wheels, or cannot, or need bolt pattern adapters to even try them. Very new to the Fiero world, but as I've indicated, I hope it's a world I'm going deep into for a long time. I was very charmed with the Fiero on my very first test drive and 4.5 hour drive home last year.
Itching to get the car sorted and back on the road. Haven't driven it since purchase day last March and the world is buried under snow and salt where I am so have to wait for all the road and salt to be gone.

answering partly my own question. Ferrari vintage wheels are 5x 108 pattern. Bizarre coincidence those are same PCD bolt pattern as Volvo (and many Fords) ! Weird huh?
And the Fiero is 5x100 bolt pattern (right?) So these would be a bunch of work to get them to fit, so probably not worth the effort. Oh well, was curious, as these wheels are very close to me and haven't sold for months at $500 / 4 wheels pricing. Seems like a steal.

Not really much work, just the right adapters: https://lugnutguys.com/prod...to-5x4-25-25mm-thick
I would buy those wheels for that price and work out the fittment issue later once you can do measurements. There are always adapters that can be made up to 4" thick if needed. I know there are refurbished wheels on Ebay for $300 to $500 a piece so if you can snag all 4 for $500, that's a steal.[This message has been edited by IMSA GT (edited 02-23-2025).]

That IS a steal.
If you buy them, please be careful with them. There are 308 Ferrari owners looking for those wheels. The high aspect ratio wheels are back in fashion for 1970s Ferraris. Many Ferrari owners are concours obsessives.
The 14" wheels came with the carburetor 308s whose production ended in 1980. Thereafter Ferrari changed to TRX wheels made by Cromodora. Around mid 1982-ish (the start of 308 Quattrovalvole production) Ferrari started offering 16" wheels made by Cromodora as a option.
The 16" Cromodora wheels are by far the most valuable. The 14" Campagnolos that you are looking at come next. People can't even give away the TRX (metric) wheels.
EDIT: The 14" and TRX wheels were same width front and back. The 16" wheel sets had wider rear wheels than the fronts.
I believe all the wheel sizes are made of the same mangesium/aluminum alloy but I am not sure. And, yes, the bolt circle on the Ferrari wheels is the same as for Volvos.[This message has been edited by Brian A (edited 02-23-2025).]
