on my 87 basic coupe id like bigger rear [and front]brakes with a parking brake.my brakes work but look tiny in my 16 inch wheels.theres a kit for the 88 that uses 12 inch rotors with the 1988 calipers.is there such a kit for my 87?i read on here of a kit to use 1985 eldo calipers but all the pictures went away.the reason im asking is i have a totaled 1989 reatta i did a brake upgrade on the back using[as i remember]1985 eldo calipers.so i already maybe have the calipers.btw the reatta also has 2000 camaro 12 inch front brakes on it.i already have the s10 booster on my 87which i love.

The reason some kits reuse the 88 calipers, but there are none that use the 84-87 calipers, is because 84-87 are thin solid rotors, and 88 uses a wider vented rotor, and all upgrades use vented rotors, which wouldn't fit between the pads on an 84-87.

A guy on the forum makes adapters for 88 calipers with 12" vette rotors....You do not want to add too much weight; I took 3 lbs off each rear wheel and 6 off each front and my Fiero went from driving like a pickup truck to driving like a modern car...Keep your unsprung weight down as much as possible.
The guy's Pennocks forum name is Sluppy123- he also makes aluminum front hubs which allow you to add the 12" rotors and not gain any weight.
Here is a pic of my car- the front are 12" but I stayed with the 88 10" discs on the rear, so you can compare.....(I have 16 x 7 wheels)

I forgot to mention; My Fiero is 1985 with original '85 front suspension- the Sluppy123 adapters were for 88 calipers to mount to the '85 spindles. I swapped in an 88 rear subframe/suspension which included 88 brakes.
He makes adapters for installing 88 calipers front and rear on 84-87 Fieros...but you do need to use 12" Vette rotors because of the design of the adapters.
Here is a pic of the adapters and a pic of the aluminum hubs;
