Does the 1/4" spacer make any real difference on a stock 3800SC?

Don't have a spacer but my 3800SC engine uses an intercooler. On my series III engine the supercharger uses a 3.4" pulley. With my aggressive tune the intercooler was absolutely necessary and made a huge difference in power. My guess is that the phenolic spacer under the supercharger may not help you gain much horsepower unless you also block off the coolant passages to the supercharger.
