I’m trying to figure out this issue I’m having with this starter, it will turn over then just not even crank we’ve done multiple test and they lead back to the starter this morning on a start attempt the battery connector was glowing red from the amount of power it’s drawing does anyone know any solutions or what to do?

Could be a frozen alternator bearing or hydro-locked engine. Take off the drive belt and see what happens. Can you turn the engine over with a socket and breaker bar? Remove plugs and crank to see if the engine is hydro-locked. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. ...and keep your face away from any/all spark plug holes. Don't ask me how/why I know.

If the battery terminal and the cable are turning red with heat it is a bad connection. If the whole cable is getting hot then it could be the starter. Harry

You can use on lead of a good thick jumper cables from battery positive to the starter. If starts fine then the cable you use is too thing or has lots of resistance. Also, your ground wire should be the same thickness as your positive. Good luck!
