Hey all I've recently been running into the issue of the 88 wheel bearings not holding up at all. I was wondering what people have to say about the Rodney Dickman wheel bearings now that they've been around for a while. Also I believe my rear bearings are on there way out and was wondering wether to go SKF ,Timken or Moog.

What are you doing that your Wheel bearing's aren't holding up?
Rockauto has a few options for front 88 Bearings.
Rodney's are probably great if you don't mind regular wheel bearing maintenance and the occasional replacement ( Sooner but cheaper than sealed hubs).
Personally I'm glad to be free from taper roller bearings on vehicle wheel applications.

I have been lucky. I have had many 88 Fieros and have never had to change front bearings on them. But I do not do autocross or anything like that
I did grab a few spare OEM used ones, and plan to have them re-packed with grease. I figure the 36 year old grease inside them must have broken down and be crap by now. Probably a good idea for anyone with an 88 to do to try and preserve the front bearings. There are a couple of write-ups on PFF on how to repack 88 front hubs, just need to find the link.
The rears are readily available still. The fronts shown on Rock Auto are Chinese hubs- not sure of their quality. I am actually surprised that they are being made for such a small market.

My style of driving is a lot of hard cornering and it puts a lot of stress on the front wheel bearings. All I hope to gain is something that I don't have to replace every year. Or at least not every 6 months.
