3.4 knock sensor location (Page 1/1) Lilchief DEC 05, 04:25 PM This might be a little off subject. But I'm installing a 3.4 in my 87 s10 tahoe. The original harness has a knock sensor plug. Does the sensor go to the left of the crank sensor, ( passenger side ) in the drain plug hole ? I don't know about the 1st gen ones (like in the Camaro / Firebird, or S10). fierofool DEC 06, 06:53 PM The Camaro/Firebird 3.4 does have a port on the passenger side of the block where the knock sensor bolts in. I don't remember if it's above or beside the freeze plug. I think maybe above so it has inside clearance between the cylinder walls.
