Miller Woods Turbo Kit Help (Page 1/1)
lagercat APR 16, 06:32 PM
Hello! I just bought my first Fiero; 86 GT Auto. It came with a Miller Woods Turbo kit installed, me and my buddies have been trying to get it together but its a bit of a messy puzzle. Does anyone have a pdf copy of the instructions, or some pics of another Miller Woods kit installed?

We are trying to get an idea of that the routing/air piping looks like. We have most of it together but there is a couple parts we are stuck on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get ahold of SCCA Fiero here:

He shows his stage 1 manual. Maybe he can help you.

Is it already installed or not?

I don't know all the details, but I know the kit for an auto is slightly different than for a standard transmission.

It is installed, but the air plumbing part is kinda of weird, there are 3 open like side pipes. 1 after the turbo.
When we got the car 2 of the side pipes had bottlecaps in them to seal them.

I am mainly just looking if anyone has a pic of the air side of the setup to see what the deal is.

There was a guy that listed one of these sytems in the mall last year. He was willing to sale really cheap just to get it out of his way. At first I was not interested, but after I did some research I got back in touch with him. By then he had decided to keep it (or get a lot more money for it). It seemed to be a complete kit with the ecu and everything. But my car is an auto and that system was for a standard transmission car.

They are not intercooled and don't make huge boost, but just 5-8 lbs can make a huge difference.

When the Turbo kit is installed you must run a 2 Bar Map sensor that measures vacuum AND boost. You will need a special ECM chip program that will add fuel and reduce advance under boost. At one time I sold Turbo kits and might still have the chip and program necessary. Running without the supporting mods can and will blow a piston. Also is the engine fresh and low mileage?. The stock 2.8L uses cast pistons and with many miles on them they will prove to be a liability.
