I just replaced my distributor in my 86 GT. I bought it from the fiero store. It has the "star" pattern for the points. My question is There is a copper or bronze colored cover over the stars Does that cover come off or stay on. Every pic I can find has everything exposed and no such cover. I have a no run situation still.?? The car was running fine and then 2 weeks went by and no start. I openned the distributor and found rust heaven!! I ordered a new one and have the same problem. I have replaced the fuel the fuel filter the distributor. The only part is the coil. I did everything by the forum doing all of this. My next chase I guess is the coil?! The only thing I have read that I didnt do was to pull the ECM fuse?? Thanks for any input

Asked what my fuel pump pressure was it is what the book said. I can smell gas after I crank it. I enclosed the pictures so you can see the cap I am asking about.

What's the fuel pressure reading?
