Stalling once warm (Page 1/1)

So I have a 86 fiero 2.5 I bought it and on the way home the battery light turned on. Checked it and the alternator was going bad. Changed that and the oil. The fuel gage doesn't work and when I was on my way home ran out of fuel. Put fuel in it ran for 50 miles no problem. On my way to work the next day it started to stall after it was warmed up. Starts instantly (most times) after stalling but it does keep occurring over and over. I checked the plugs n wires noticed was a wire lose so I replaced all of them. Continued to do that same thing. I went on to replace fuel filter. Still same problem. Dropped the tank and replaced fuel pump. Still has the same problem. I have ideas of where to go next but I would rather find more opinions. I do know the egr valve is bad on it but I have the vacuum line to it stopped up. ( like this when I bought it and it drove 300 miles without this problem.? I checked the fuel injectors while it was running and watched it giving fuel in mid stall. I was thinking the MAF sensor egr valve or the fuel injectors. But I am not quit sure. I am a novice mechanic do it yourself type person. So any help with possibilities or troubleshooting would be much appreciated! Thank u!

Hi Brandon, it sounds like there's a lot of different issues. Is this your primary car that you take back and forth to work, or is it something that you can set aside and spend a little bit of time on? I think the important thing would be to take each of these issues one at a time, and prioritize them. None of these are big issues, but they all seem to be unrelated (note, there is no MAF sensor on the Fiero. There is a MAP sensor that clips into the side of the air cleaner though).

First thing I would do is check the engine codes. Go here: https://www.pontiacperforma...icles/OSG/codes.html

Click the very first link on how to "check the codes" and then let us know what error codes you have. It'll usually tell you more or less what's wrong with the car and what may need to be changed.
