I see no speed clips on the nubs in your photos. It's probably just double-sided tape holding the emblem on.

I don’t see any clips, either. But there are those flat ears up against the emblem posts. I wonder if those are tape remnants (pushed through when the emblem was mounted) or if Pontiac used a smaller form of the plastic push-pin rivet design used top & bottom of the same bumper cover. These things are dang small and down inside the bumper. I’ll poke at ‘em gently and report back.
