Alternating Headlight problems. (Page 1/1)

Hi,

I haven't been driving my Fiero too often in recent years and it has been years since I have last had to work on it so I am a bit rusty. I am having problems with my headlights taking turns malfunctioning on me. A few days ago, the driver's side wouldn't go up and last night it worked perfectly fine but the passenger side wouldn't go up. I tried tightening connections and wiggling wires and then the passenger side worked but the driver's side didn't and hasn't worked since. Before I go taking things apart, what should I be looking for?

Thanks.

Year of car?

Not even try to open sound like Gen2 problem for 87-88 or older converted to "new" system.
See my Cave, Gen 2 HL Motor

Try turn motor knob ~ ½ to 1 turn loose Then turn on HL.

If helps, can "fix" them but best to plan new motors from Cardone etc. sooner or later. Can get cheaper New motors of Ebay and others if you don't want Warranty.
