Dome light always on (Page 1/1)

Hi yesterday I found that the dome light was on and it was no power on CB nr 11 ( interor light) . And I could not turn of the dome light with the interor light swith on the L/H side.

So far I checked the switch for the interior light, and it don't have any power on any of the four pins, however the transistor have power to the gray cable, I only have an wiring diagram for Fiero 1984 but my is an 1986... In the wiring diagram I have; both the transistor and the switch should have power from splice nr 211, but I don't understand where splice nr 211 is located.

IIRC, 1984's have many wiring differences from the later models. See if the manual for my '87 is more helpful: http://www.slosh.com/fierom...Service%20Manual.pdf

Also, do you mean the inside pair of lights ("map lights", turn on and off with the switches above your head) or the outside pair ("dome lights", turn on and off when the doors open, along with the lights in the footwells)? If the latter, coulda just be a shorted door switch.
