Took my old Indy out for a saturday drive last weekend and noticed that the tachometer was pegged at zero.
I initially thought it was the gauge, but on changing and testing it with another gauge cluster no luck so I believe the original filter has failed.
So I am Asking for a favor as I searched High and low for a picture of where exactly is the tach filter on the iron duke. I found it easily enough on the V6 fiero, but on the iron duke not so lucky. I have read that its right below the coil bolted to the transmission but for the love of me I can't find it nor see it.
I even checked my fathers 1984 fiero Iron duke and couldnt find it there either, at least not where it's supposed to be as described.
Any help / thoughts / pictures would be great. Thanks in advance.

The tach filter on a Duke is sometimes taped to or wrapped IN the wiring harness. It should still be on the harness below the thermostat housing near the coil above the distributor. I'm sure my 84 Indy had it in that vicinity.
