Hi All,
I replaced my starter yesterday and also bypassed a fusible link. Starts/runs fine, just no lights at all. All fuses tested good in the left footwell box.
Thoughts?
Thanks

I'm "fishing" but did you actually bypass a fusible link or was it a diode in the charging circuit that may appeared as a fusible link?

I cut out a Fusible link and replaced it with wire.

Odd problem if all the fuses are good. Recheck your repair.

Fusable links are a good idea. Do your headlight motors work?

HL and other Lights are on different Fusible Link (Link B) then the rest of car. Link A to Starter Sol has most of the rest.

Yup. More removing them is ca good way to have a Car Fire or worse if parked inside whatever. Fusible links are there to stop the battery dumping 200+ amps in a short circuit.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. Thanks everyone for your input. Turns out one of my new splices to one of the small ring terminals was bad. All fixed!
