Hey everybody:
I have a stock, 1984 Indy. Just because, I was thinking about Rodney's 210 degree fan switch.
The car runs fine and runs cool, but I figured that it might help keep things happy on the Indy.
My question is this, he has two 210 degree switches on the website. Both look to be identical, except that one has a pigtail that needs to be spliced into the harness. Apparently, it's to convert a two-speed fan to a single speed fan. I can't find anything on this in the owner's manual or factory service manual.
Does anyone know if my car has the two-speed fan, or the single-speed fan?
Many thanks!

'84 Fieros with Air Conditioning got the 2 speed fan. Cars with a 2 speed fan have a large ceramic resistor on the fan shroud.

Only the 84's had the 2-speed radiator cooling fan.
You will need the switch with the pigtail in your case. Splice it into the Lt Green/Black wire that controls the High Speed fan circuit. Leave the Low Speed Dk Green/White wire disconnected. The A/C control will still run the Low Speed circuit as normal if you have A/C.
