I had the unfortunate failure of the upper radiator hose just as I pulled into the parking lot at work.
its an 88 4 cyl. and the hose is the one to the thermostat housing. any new information on a
replacement for this hose?

ok just an FYI for anyone interested. I found that a gates coolant hose P/N 23729 worked really well for me.
my car is a standard I'm not sure about the plumbing on an auto. I cut the 90 degree at the top about and inch
and the hose ran straight down to the pipe,cut to fit. it was close where the bottom of the wheel well was but I
put the plastic chafing from the old tube there to prevent any rub through. so far seems to be working good.
