Hello.
I am in the process of replacing the fuel pump in my 1984 Fiero. My question relates to wiring. I have two separate connectors going to the fuel tank. A single brown wire and another connector with two wires a pink and black. The pink wire is a heavier gauge. I know the black wire is the common ground. But which wire goes to the fuel pump and which to the sending unit?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I just replaced the pump about a year ago and it only lasted one trip I’m worried got the wires mixed up as the pump didn’t last and after the replacement the fuel gage didn’t seem to work right.
Thanks Ken

I don't have '84 information, but the '85 to '88 Fieros have a tan power wire with a white stripe (as shown in this diagram). The '84 wires may be different. See if your brown wire is really tan with a white stripe.
