Who is re-drilling hubs these days?

I know the fronts can be bought blank and re-drilled relatively easily. The rears need a bit more work.

I need 5 x 120.65 mm with 70.3 mm center bore. Yes that's the 4th -7th gen Corvette bolt pattern.

I was just asking around with no luck. Need to find someone to drill my blank front hubs the same bolt pattern.

Apparently no one is drilling them these days. About to order adapters. I need 30 mm more backspace anyway because of the high offset of the wheels I'm looking at.

Try a wheel repair shop, some have the cnc and tools to redrill. Anybody w a cnc can do it. i got my machinist buddy to, all I had to do was buy him the center locator thingie.

The rears require more than just re-drilling. A ring has to be welded on to inscrease the diameter and the hub has to be increased from 57.1 mm to 70.3mm. This is not trivial, but it's not impossible either. Can't find anyone to do what I have pictured.

Held/Arraut were making a modified rear hub drilled to any bolt pattern for around $600 but they went out of business a few years ago. If I remember correctly they were getting the hubs direct from the factory disassembled then welding the larger flange on and putting them back together. Permanently. So everytime your bearings went bad you would have to get the procedure done all over again. I was going to go that route then ended up having to use adapter/spacers for my widebody in the rear which I'm ok with because I needed an extra inch or so. Ended up being much cheaper In the long run as fiero rear hubs are cheap and easy to get. The front wheels are already wide enough so I just have to redrill the hubs. To make someone's job easier I was going to buy a cheap $30 Vette Camaro rotor to use as a drill guide and a hubcentric ring to center it. Don't trust myself or my ancient tool collection enough to try it.

Did you hit up Fieroguru? seems like something up his alley.

This all started on one of his build threads. I was hoping for a solution with upgraded hubs, larger bearings but no such thing is likely to exist for 88s. Next modified hubs and no one seems to be doing that anymore, not to mention the fact you have to have them remodified if the bearings go bad. So I'm back to adapter/ spacers. Which it turns out I need anyway based on the offset of the wheels I want to use.

Sad that no solution exists for the 88, but that is a drawback of the one year wonder that is the 88 suspension.
