I’ve seen a few using the search function and some have come out damn near perfect. Now I have a gallon of M.F red from tractor supply, 2 quarts of primer, a bottle of reducer, sand paper from 320-600 grit some smooth rollers non foam roll brushes from Lowe’s, painters tape and news paper to mask the car. Been sanding all day today will do some more tomorrow through out the day I know that the sanding and prepping is the most important part so taking my sweet time with it trying to get the car as smooth as possible. I got some chips in the paint as well up by the sun roof and the lower a pillar where they usually chip so I’ll get some bondo and hardener to fill that and sand it as well. Now for the priming how should I go about laying that down should I spray or roll it wait to dry sand then lay another coat of primer. Wait to dry then start with the M.F Red ????. Also when all said an done how do I go about that I saw something about sanding the finish then buff to make it really shine ?

I read up on that, most outcomes I read the paint had so much orange peel it took a ton of sanding to get it leveled. Most used rustoleum gloss in the can, id add some floetrol or thinner to cut down on the orange peel. Your best bet would be to go buy a cheap spray gun and shoot it. Ive got good results w a harbor freight cheapo gun.

Agreed, lot less work. I painted this Dodge Dakota with an HF gun and single stage acrylic from TPS Global Restoration Shop.

I did it on the roof of my old jeep. I was pretty glad it was on the roof where nobody could see it. I'd try to spray

After

Before

Well here is the outcome 2 coats of primer, 4 coats of M.F red and 1 coat of clear. Haven’t buffed or wet sanded the clear coat but I’m happy with it a lot better then before that’s for sure
