Did mine in Eastwood's Pin-Up Red Single Stage Urethane 5 years ago, still looks good and I'd never painted a car (or anything for that matter. Wife does the painting in this house!) before. Maybe not factory color but close enough for my eye.------------------ Anything I might say is probably worth what you paid for it, so treat it accordingly!

...SEM would be my recommendation...Have done a few cars with it. Base coat clear coat is the best process ...

For automotive exterior paint, I recommend www.automotivetouchup.com very highly. I've been using their products for some years, both their fill-to-order spray cans and their ready-to-spray liquid paints. I'm a total amateur in the area of paint and body, but their stuff has always done well for me. I've used their paint to match six different GM cars, including my silver '88 GT (WA9004) and every time the match was PERFECT. Their ready-to-spray base colors are available thinned differently for the expected temperature during application; their two-part urethane clearcoat is very high gloss and tough when cured. Like Eastwood and some others, they also also have a two component, catalyze-in-the-spray-can clearcoat. All great stuff, even when applied by someone as inexperienced as me, even when applied with this sprayer: https://www.harborfreight.c...y-gun-kit-44677.html I've been painting my Fiero in sections, at different times, but all match exactly (I do choose good places to separate what Im painting from what I'm not, such as the beltline). So far I've painted the hood and headlight doors and front fenders above the beltline and the entire nose (one time) and the rear decklid and the wing and stands and mirrors another time. My finished product isn't going to win any shows, but it looks very good indeed and I'm more than happy with my results.[This message has been edited by OldGuyinaGT (edited 05-17-2020).]
