1988 2.5 ECM wiring woes (Page 1/1)

Sit down and let me tell you a tale, a tale of great confusion and hardship. I have owned my 1988 2.5 Fiero for a few years, been a great noble steed, but alas, the ecm failed. To which I thought would be a 20 minute swap, has became days. You see, the first ecm had its pin-outs soldered up to make them higher, meaning it put more pressure on the plug. This in turn has damaged the connectors, the added pressure has bent each pin outward, meaning the connector has no more clamping force. Meanwhile my main cars transmission has decided to dump all its gears into itself, making a metallic rather gross slushy. In my moment of not having a car I was desperate to get the Fiero running, so I did the unthinkable, I chopped off the cables and soldered the wiring directly to a spare ecm. See the attached picture of the truly horrendous act...

Although terrible, it does work. But my old spare ECM was a wild card, I just assumed it worked. The car starts and runs, but with a rough idle. I run to see the codes and what do I find? 33, that is what I find. So to test the ecm, I unplug the MAP sensor, hoping to get code 34. 33 means the voltage is to high from the MAP, 34 is when it is to low. So unplugging it should get me the 34 code, but no. I still get 33. This seems to indicate to me that either my wiring is bad, or my ECM is bad.

I have been trying to look everywhere for that ECM connector, I cannot find it. I bought a new refurbished ECM, and there is no way I am going to barf it up by soldering all those wires to it. I want to fix this right. My ECM wire plugs are damaged beyond repair, I need new ones. If anyone has a parts car or something please sell me those connectors, of course I will happily pay for it.

Summary

I did a stinky, now I need ECM wiring plugs which I cannot find anywhere. I need a hero

Post in the mall that you are looking for an 88 2.5 harness and ecm (make sure to specify Auto or manual transmission, also it would help to post the calibration code on the ecm).
