In the process of going to put my side cover back on my transmission gasket is in pretty good shape a little late separation where the aluminum gasket meets the rubber in a couple small areas including the t-shaped rubber part that connects the sections of aluminum gasket but nothing serious will it be okay to use RTV black gasket maker with a light coat between cover and Gasket and Gasket and transmission for sealing any small grooves or small damage to gasket

You've got to be careful not to use excess gasket sealer on an automatic transmission. If any gets in the valve body problems can result. I use a very thin coat of Hy Tack gasket sealer with the gasket. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
