Backfire and engine killed (Page 1/1)

I have an 85 gt fiero 2.8l , I just replaced all the injectors and cleaned the spark plugs which fixed my other issue in another post. My issue now is that after doing that I have loud backfire at consistent rpm, so if I hold rpm at 3500 for example it'll backfire like crazy, doesn't backfire when I accelerate or let of gas. Second issue is that now when the engine warms if I come to a complete stop the rpms plummet and the car kills itself(shuts off). I've replaced all sensors in the car, checked for vacuum leaks, fuel pressure is good ect;. none of these issues before I swapped injectors and cleaned spark plugs.

Double-check that the spark plug wires are going to the correct plugs.

If you have a fuel pressure gauge on your car check if when you shut off the engine the pressure hold in the injection ramp. Maybe your new injectors leaking.

I'll double check when I get off work, thank you.

I can get a kit from local parts store to check it out, just watch for pressure drop when I shut car off?
