So I’m having a high idle of 1300-1500 86 2.8 4 speed. I’m trying to get a custom chip made where they can lower the idle counts down so I can have a idle of 1000 rpm I been trying to get the idle down to 1000 using ogre cave trick and it’s not working can someone make a chip for this or nah

When this problem is posted, the advice is always 'vacuum leak' and the OP says he checked everywhere and can't find it. Keep checking. Changing your computer would only be more trouble when the vacuum leak gets worse.

Do you get a check engine light after a long red stop light? You should if the idle is actually that high. It takes about the time for a long red light for the light to come on."
Many Fiero tachs read high.
The stock chip is programmed for 900 RPM on an engine warmed up.
