86 2.5 SE 5 Speed i am trying to put brakes on but calipers wont compress enough to fit new pads over rotor i got them to break loose and spin out but will not spin in enough i tried to read ogres cave on the subject but (and im sorry) there is too much info and is confusing in that it sometimes seems to contradict itself anyone want to shed some light on this or how they got it fixed?

The rear calipers do not just "press in".
Ogres Cave has good info.
If you don't mind losing the parking brake, just put front calipers on the rear....[This message has been edited by olejoedad (edited 04-18-2020).]

Removing the EB level then follow cave like Clamp Method notes is hard to understand?
Should be able to press in w/o much effort when you follow directions unless you have bad piston or screw is major F'd.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)

If I have to crack the seal on the break line and then bleed it I have a parts car sitting right here there is no rear cradle but there is a set of front breaks i can put on it and do away with the EB until i can rebuild them though i don't remember any kits having anything to fix the ebrake or screw piston

OE Sliders are standard Torx Heads w/ most are T50. Likely have aftermarket sliders and that can be any head design.
Check actual head is Allen or whatever heads... Sometimes Allen wrench fits Txx heads but can/will fail and wreck tool and/or slider.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. Remove the ebrake cable then the nut holding the eBrake lever on the back of the caliper. Note position. Open bleeder nut 1/2 turn. Turn the shaft to withdraw the piston into the caliper. From memory counter clockwise on Rt Rr and clockwise on Rr Lf. Close bleeder screw. After new pads are installed , replace lever making sure that the seal ring is around the caliper screw and that it is in the right position.
