So two of my fuel injectors are bad and I am just wondering about using the accel replacements ones, I have an 85 gt 2.8l. Do I stay with the 15lb ones or am I able to use 19lb ones?

you cnt go up to 19lb without burning a chip that adjusts the fuel BPW I believe. I have all 6 15lb originals I removed from my 40k car after doing the 3.4 swap. they worked perfectly. PM me if you want them for cheap. I olso have a bag of OEM new rubber oring seals for the ends of them as well

Yeah, what do you have to say about Accel injectors?

I bought a set of six Accel injectors for my 2.8; about 8 years and 80 000 km later I took apart the engine for a rebuild.

When I had the injectors flow-tested, one leaked and had to be replaced. I don't know for how long the injector was bad.

So in my case, it seems like the Accel brand was unreliable... I still have them though

Definitely don't go with 19# injectors. Even in a 3.4 the 19# injectors flow too much fuel and runs rich at stock fuel pressure.

Go to this website https://fuelinjectorclinic.com/flow-calculator

6 cylinder
140 hp
80% duty cycle
gasoline

Replacement injectors should be pintle style and not disk style for efficient operation by the ECM.

These might be suitable if they were in stock though I'm not sure about the impedence.

So what brands would be recommended?
fierofool APR 17, 07:49 PM
I just bought a set of Bosch EV1 injectors for a 3.4. I'm not sure what brand are stock in the Fiero. I think they are Rochester but I couldn't find a 15 # injector in the Rochester brand.

I would suggest you take jjd2296's set, have them refurbished and flow matched. Injector Planet, Motorman Injectors or Injector Connection can do it for you and if there's an unrepairale problem with any of them, they can recommend the equivalent replacement set.

I haven't dealt with Motorman but the other two have given me good service.

Would these be a bad choice then ?

At $290 each, yeah, that's a really bad solution....

Take fierofools advice, or get on the web and by some cleaned and flow matched units.
