Expansion tank needed? (Page 1/1)

Hey everyone, I think I know the answer to the question but just want to be sure. I have a 88 that currently has a 3.1 Corsica engine (has the same bottom end as the original v6) in it that the previous owner swapped and runs well but I’m gonna do a LS swap on that car. I also have 86 that has an 4 banger that I bought that doesn’t run, so I am putting the 3.1 from the 88 in the 86 right now.
My question is on the 86 there is no expansion tank in the wheel well, the vent just goes to the charcoal canister, so if If keep the smaller 86 gas tank should I use the 88 charcoal canister or the 86 one? Or are they the same?
I don’t think it matters, anyone know for sure?
And yes I swapped the fuel pump already for the v6.

As far as I know, all Fiero charcoal canisters are the same.
