I have a mega squirt 2 ecu that I will install in the upcoming days. I was curious on how many people have done this and if anyone has a base map for a stock 2.8. I was going to cut the stock connector off and just solder all the required wires and get rid of all nonessential such as erg as emissions are not required where I live. Any advice on how to do it or what might give me a headache?

I have an *.msq for a Fiero 2.8L V6 (with ported exhaust logs, the stock HEI, 30 lb/hr injectors) running on the MS2 processor.
It is for a custom branch (a pmbrunelle special) of MS2/Extra 3.2.4. I call it:
ms2extra_3.2.4_PMB_0.8.7
Since my *.msq works only with my unique software, you should not attempt to load it into your controller as-is.
Instead, you may view my *.msq using my custom *.ini to interpret it.
Copy down whatever values you think are relevant on paper, and then re-enter them into the appropriate tables in your setup.
Obviously, some adjustments may have to be made... for example, raw ms injection pulse width values should be scaled according to your injectors.

If you purchased an MS2 in order to learn about tuning, I suggest you dive into building your tune on your own. Starting off with someone else's base map is like trying to learn bicycle riding with training wheels.[This message has been edited by pmbrunelle (edited 04-09-2020).]
