My charcoal canister just broke. What do I have to do to run without it? Can I just cap the lines?

Broke just how?

Vac and fume lines ends can be glued w/ small tubing inside to keep port open and reinforce the glue.
Problem is finding a glue will work on, I think, Polypropylene plastic. Maybe need plumber's "glue" will work on black plastic pipe.

for short term cap vac lines and leave fume line attach to "dead" can or open.

Or Look in junk yards to find a FWD w/ same can.
Often hidden in front of car somewhere.

I have had good luck with JB two part plastic cement for that type of plastic.

Ok, so I sleaved it with a piece of tube from a WD-40 can. Then I encapsulated it in JB weld plasticweld. I already vacuumed tested it and it's working just got to let it cure now.

Is about best place to break/fix one because is purge control and doesn't care about flow volume. All that does is to open the purge valve.
Bottom small line is actual purge port and low air flow there can make canister carbon problems. Needs enough air flowing to suck up fumes off of the carbon.

So, the Plasiweld didn't hold it. I cleaned it up and redid it with some double bubble. It's a good fit now.

If you are in Las Vegas, the fiero club yard probably has dozens of those things.
