I used the tensioner off a 94 Camaro. From my research at the time, this was the part that most people doing the 4.9l swap were using. No guarantee that it's the part used by every swap, but probably a good place to start. Sorry...I don't have the specific part number on hand.

I don't know what the guy that did your 4.9L swap used, but the tensioner on mine is from the 3.4L 93-95 Firebird/Camaro. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. The 3.4 v6 tensioner was a perfect match! Hopefully this fixes my perpetual belt squeal as well....
Thank you all for your help![This message has been edited by lou_dias (edited 04-02-2020).]

Note that Too Short belt may seem to work but will wreck tensioners fast. Same as 87-92 L4 in Fiero and others. See my Cave, Serpent Belt
Is very possible this broke for same reason.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. (Jurassic Park)
