So this is my second rodney Dickman select cable that has burnt through thanks to the stupid previous owner making custom headers and y pipe for this car. Is there anyway I can stop this from happening I tried getting in contact with rodney but haven’t got a response from him yet. I know his cables are awesome build quality so not talking s*** about him and his customer service is awesome. Here is some pics of my problem. I even header wrapped the cable and use his heat wrap insulation but still burnt through 🤦‍♂️. Patrick MAR 17, 11:35 PM Wow, no wonder you're melting cables. Something has got to be changed. I suspect a fabricator-wizard could build a modified mount for the selector cable. There obviously needs to be some space between the cable and the Y-pipe.
