Many thanks to all who have posted info on the EGR solenoid. The info has allowed me to disassemble it, clean up the carnage, add a little solder and IT WORKS!

It was pretty easy to find the posts. Rather than using the forum search, I Googled "Fiero egr solenoid" and came up with several posts on this forum, lots of info and photos.

Once I finish up the rehab on my '87 GT, I will consider it.

Would you road test them to confirm the repair? That's how I've tested ones that I've sold.

That's the only way I would know how to test, only takes a couple minutes to swap them out.

Update. Haven't had the code 32 show up until now.....after driving in the rain for about a half hour today, it showed up, light came on while decelerating for a traffic light. Any thoughts?

Did a vacuum line pop off?

The factory setup had a 'clean air' hose that ran from the front of the solenoid over to the air cleaner. Many times that hose is lost or broken and the car runs just fine, but water could easily get into the solenoid if the hose is missing.
