I went through the rest of the cradle with a hammer, and seems to be OK.
But at the rear of the cradle on the passenger side, the rust is creating some issues. I can do some welding if that would help. Or try to find a cradle to replace it.
Any advice?

You may be able to repair that, but I would rather replace it with another one- Just checked on "Row 52" and it shows a Fiero at Lake Stevens, WA..."Gunner Auto Parts" junk yard.....I would call before driving down to make sure it still has a rear subframe and what condition it is in........By the way, It's been there since July....

Given that all that rust is where the A arm connects I think I'd be looking for another cradle. ------------------ Anything I might say is probably worth what you paid for it, so treat it accordingly!
