I took the spare tire pan out so that it would be easier for me to replace the split boots on my rack and I noticed a few differences I'm not sure about.
It has a steel section on the passenger side, 2 grease zerks, and no stabilizer of any kind.
Sorry for the poor pic. Any ideas id this is correct or for another car?
It is a 1988 Formula.
Thanks!

That is a rebuilt 88 rack. No damper on the 88's. Zerks added during rebuild. Notice the funky casting on the driver side?

Yes, there is a funky casting. What is that for?

Electro-hydraulic steering, I believe.
