With the cables detached from the transmission, is it possible to move the shifter mechanism on the transmission? [This message has been edited by olejoedad (edited 01-12-2020).]

With the cables detached from the transmission, does the shift lever in the console have full range of motion? Does it feel sloppy?[This message has been edited by olejoedad (edited 01-12-2020).]

With nothing on the transmission end of the cables, it will move very freely. Slop in the gear shift mechanism should NOT be confused with free movement.[This message has been edited by olejoedad (edited 01-12-2020).]
